RFID Spring Seminar


May 31, 2012

Hilton Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Finland

 

This is an open call for presentation proposals for our traditional RFID spring seminar on May 31, 2012. This is the biggest annual  RFID and NFC event in Finland! Please, pass the call around.

The seminar is focused on business applications of  automatic identification technology such as:

  • manufacturing
  • logistics
  • warehousing
  • supply chain management
  • retail
  • field force management
  • consumer services

 The identification technology applied can be for example:

  • passive RFID
  • active RFID
  • NFC
  • sensor network
  • IoT

This seminar is directed to the potential utilizers of RFID-technology for their businesses. The point is to share inspiring success stories and provide references and contacts for the audience in order to help them to shape their evolving ideas to investment decisions that increase efficiency or create new business opportunities.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Patrick Javick, VP, GS1 US. He will tell us how RFID/EPC is rapidly changing the apparel business currently in the USA.

 What kind of presentations are we looking for?

  • The presentation is based on a case, which
    • describes and narrows the application area and shapes the challenge
    • presents a solution including identification technology
    • discusses the benefits and investment quantitatively
    • presents the outcome
    • summarizes what were the lessons learned
  • The speaker preferably comes from the end customer organization
  • Presentation is in line with the seminar focus
  • Speech and slides are in English
  • Presentation is condensed to 20 minutes
  • Presentation is not  a solution provider company general marketing presentation
  • Presentation is not  a solution provider company's complete product portfolio offering
  • The solution providers of the case have preferably registered as exhibitors in the event

If you wish to contribute with a presentation, please, send (jukka [dot] wallinheimo [at] rfidlab [dot] fi) your proposal latest by March 5 including:

  • Title of the presentation
  • Short (max. 100 words) abstract
  • Name and affiliation of the presenter
  • Short (max. 100 words) biography
  • Photo for the biography
  • Speaker contact information (email & phone)

Presentations will be selected by Jukka Wallinheimo, Executive Director, RFIDLab Finland Association and Sami Isomäki Technology manager, RFIDLab Finland Association based on the criteria mentioned above.

Act quickly! The deadline for  submitting a presentation proposal is March 5. Let's make this the best RFID event ever!
